Goals and Objectives

ACRISS delivers on its goals through:

  • Promoting and supporting adherence to the ACRISS Code of Conduct for car rental companies and travel technology partners, ensuring high standards in the quality and consistency of information provided through electronic distribution systems.
  • Creating, implementing, and maintaining the ACRISS Vehicle Classification System to enable accurate like-for-like vehicle comparisons, while continually evolving the system to meet current and future industry requirements, supported by relevant data, trend monitoring, and online search and reporting tools.
  • Developing, recommending, and implementing standards covering all aspects of the car rental booking process, including locations content, optional extras and special equipment, policy information, and emerging digital requirements.
  • Developing and recommending standards and guidelines for enhancements to electronic distribution systems, GDS and online booking systems, including new functionality and product developments.
  • Supporting greater confidence in the use of electronic distribution systems and online travel platforms for global car rental bookings.
  • Maintaining and expanding ACRISS Cloud services for use by both ACRISS members and non-members.

The ACRISS Cloud was devised as an easy to implement solution to resolve the issue of outdated vehicle images and specifications. The system enables all the car rental companies to ‘push’ their vehicle image and fleet data to their preferred partners, rather than the partner having to come to the individual car rental companies.

In addition to categorising the vehicle models based on our ACRISS Car classification system and industry expert algorithm, we also offer further information and data including data on EV distance and charging options, CO2 emissions data based on WLTP regulations for ICE models and our ACRISS CO2 efficiency coding.

ACRISS Cloud Subscription

ACRISS Cloud allows both car rental members and non-members to easily share their car images and records with partners via FTP push, XML technology, and email.

The system integrates with all GDS partners and selected third parties/tech associates for export. If additional export partners are needed, setup fees may apply based on the delivery requirements (email, FTP, or XML).
