About ACRISS
ACRISS – formerly the Association of Car Rental Industry Systems Standards
ACRISS was established in 1989 by leading car rental companies across Europe, representing approximately 80% of the industry market share at the time. These organisations were recognised for their high-quality products and services, well-maintained vehicle fleets, dedicated customer support teams, and conveniently located rental operations.
From the beginning, the founding members shared a common goal — to develop industry standards that would improve transparency and help consumers make informed choices when booking car rental services through electronic distribution systems.
Today, ACRISS continues to play a leading role in developing and promoting standards across the mobility sector, including car rental and mobility services.
What ACRISS Does
ACRISS works continuously to support the industry through:
