Transfers – VDSI (Vehicle with Driver Service Industry)
ACRISS expanded its industry standards portfolio to include the growing Vehicle with Driver Service Industry (VDSI), commonly referred to within the travel industry as Transfers and Chauffeur Services.
Building on its long-standing experience in developing standards for the car rental industry, ACRISS has introduced a dedicated framework of standards and definitions for Transfers/ VDSI services. These standards are designed to support transparency, promote fair competition, improve the customer booking experience, and encourage the accurate presentation of information across electronic distribution and reservation systems.
The Transfers & VDSI standards aim to:
- Support safe and reliable booking experiences for consumers
- Promote fair trade and healthy competition within the industry
- Encourage the display of clear, accurate, and consistent information
- Reduce misleading or deceptive booking practices
- Improve confidence when booking transfers and chauffeur services online or through digital distribution channels
These standards have been developed collaboratively with ACRISS Associates, VDSI and transfer providers, and travel technology partners, ensuring the framework reflects both industry requirements and evolving customer expectations.
Through this cooperation, ACRISS continues to support the development of consistent booking standards that enhance transparency and improve confidence across the global mobility and transfer sectors.
Within this section you will find the latest VDSI standards, definitions, and industry guidance developed by ACRISS in partnership with members of the Vehicle with Driver Service Industry and ACRISS Associates.
