Member
A Member is typically a major car rental company operating at most principal international airports and distributed through major travel distribution systems, including travel technology providers, GDS platforms, OTAs, corporate booking tools (CBTs), and brokers.
To qualify, the company must have a registered or statutory office and central administration within the UK or EU, together with an established international presence.
Membership Requirements
Members are expected to:
- Support and promote the aims and objectives of ACRISS
- Fully comply with all ACRISS standards, definitions, and codes
- Adhere to the ACRISS Code of Conduct
- Actively contribute to the ongoing development of industry standards

Terms: Values, supports, complies and promotes the aims and objectives of the Association, all codes, standards and definitions. Full compliance with all elements of the Association and Code of Conduct required.

Associate
An Associate is typically a company involved in or supporting the car rental and mobility sectors, rather than directly operating as a major car rental provider.
This category includes:
- Car rental brokers
- Global Distribution Systems (GDS)
- Travel technology providers
- Online Travel Agencies (OTAs)
- Vehicle with Driver Service Industry (VDSI) representatives
- Smaller or regional car rental companies
Associate Requirements
Associates are expected to:
- Support and promote the objectives of ACRISS
- Comply with the ACRISS Code of Conduct
- Adhere to agreed industry standards, codes, and definitions
- Contribute to the development of best practices where applicable
Associate Benefits

Associate Membership Fee
Annual membership fee applies, with additional subscription fees available for car code services where required.
Honorary Associate
Honorary Associate status is available to educational institutions, not-for-profit organisations, industry associations, companies, corporations, or individuals with an interest in the objectives of ACRISS and the wider mobility industry.
Requirements
Honorary Associates are expected to support and promote the aims and objectives of ACRISS.

Car Code Subscription
ACRISS offers subscription access to its online Car Code Search and Reporting Tool, providing unlimited access to a database containing more than 10,000 vehicle models, including current and historical models dating back 10 years.
The database includes:
- Vehicle classification data
- CO₂ emissions information
- Electric vehicle battery range data
- Fuel type information
- Expert industry coding and categorisation
Subscribers also receive updates, industry news, and trend notifications developed by ACRISS car code specialists.
